Reflection: Linear Equation

So this is what I learned:

The problem today was:

  • -9 x +4 y = 6
  •   9 x + 5 y = -33

First I began with combining them, so 6 minus -33, 4y plus 5y and -9 plus, so im left with:

9 y = -27

Then you divide:

  • 9 y = -27
  • 9    = 9

and you’re left:

Y= -3

Then you get the problem with the highest number, in this case its -9x+ 4y=6, and you substitute the y for the 3 so:

-9 x + 4 (3) = 6

Then you multiply:

-9x + -12 =6

Then you add the 12 to its self and to 6, so:

  • -9x+-12 = 6
  •           +12=+12

So now you have:

-9 x = 18

Now You Divide:

  • -9 x = 18
  • – 9   =-9

And you’re left with:

X=-2

Y=-3

I don’t think i’m doing the derby car, its due tomorrow but i haven’t done anything, its for next week but i am having difficulties getting an equation, i did ask for help, i still don’t get it, i thought i did but no
